Thank you for requesting the full manuscript of “TITLE” and your interest in my proposal. You will find that information included as per your instructions.

 Submissions to an Agent are challenging to say the least. And learning to hear the word NO' is a life lesson all to its own. But when a YES' arrives for a Full Manuscript, Glory Days are here!  

Well sort of...

Sending a good message that clearly defines who you are and what you are hoping to obtain in a representative is a case of self awareness and confidence.  All of which are life skills required to be an Artist or Author. And none of which came easy for this writer. Below is the example template that was used for solicitation of this new release.  Albeit modified and personalized for each submission, it outlines my sincere hope for a successful launch and publication.  Kind of like going fishin...

I view the ‘target audience’ on this publication to be both young and old. With the more-alike-than-different family ancestry, we all share some of the very same quirks and ability to laugh at ourselves. It is that level of vulnerable exposure inside the mind of senior citizens that we can all relate to with humor. This book will cause the reader to laugh out-loud and relate back to their own memories or current life history, not to mention an entertaining ‘Book Club’ experience. This colorful story will fit perfectly on every shelf and screen.

I see the ‘marketing’ for this literature to be both in paper and film. This is a strong concept for an ongoing series in both areas of entertainment. The storyline offers unanswered questions and thirst for more of the story to be told. Included in the events there is a powerful catch phrase which I have already trademarked, “Wake Up, Earl!”  Combined with a merchandise promotion for reader engagement, the licensing potential becomes an open field for avenues of revenue and brand name recognition. It is my sincere desire and vision to see this project reach both ‘Best Seller’ platform and media production in these channels. I am convinced, with the strength of a highly motivated and qualified production team, this product can reach high-end yields of return.

Finally, I wish to say thank you!  Thank you for taking time to read my artistry and creative work. I am an Artist and although I have accomplished other rewards in my younger life as an Engineer, it has been in the last 25 years that my passion has been to allow my God given talent to become exposed. It is my sincere desire to be aligned with a team of professional talent that can guide this product into mainstream publication. I have traveled extensively as a single gentleman and would be anxious to participate in publicity efforts across the globe or in the local neighborhood book store and coffee shop.

My name is Kris Courtney and I am an Artist, Author and a retired Gentleman who has experienced the transition of surviving the 2020 pandemic collapse and am now making a pivot in 2022 into a new creative avenue with a New Book Release!

At the time of this post, the New Book is undergoing a 'Deep Edit' and has been Queried to over 100 Agencies for solicitation and representation.  This has been a huge undertaking of writing and molding a Fictional Tale out of random thoughts from a collection of travels. 'BOOK TITLE IN CAP', is a collection of elder aged and loosely govern comedic characters that live in a Florida Gated Retirement Mobile Home Park and find themselves entangled with each other to uncover there is a killer among them.  The setting is in Central Florida and the dramatic genre of "Satire Mystery" takes Snowbird residents on a journey of laughter and sleuth discoveries inside a gossip riddled community filled with the humorous dysfunction of overgrown children.

I have recently return to Indiana and have authored this Comedic Drama from my experiences in the state of Florida that have given light to a fictional story of generational characters encountered throughout 20 years of traveling across the United States as a professional Artist & Author. My work includes original oil paintings that have been shown abroad, won multiple awards & recognition in artistic genre application of watercolor, acrylic and multimedia.  As well, I have penned an award winning international screenplay and other various publications that include a personal memoir as well a collection of self published children’s books.
